Courtney Marie Miller was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Zeal for exquisiteness since childhood, she grew up with ambitions of becoming part of the beauty industry. From amateur bathroom makeovers to professional makeup artist, from being the designated photographer on family trips to now being a published photographer, she has done it all. Seeing and creating beauty everywhere she ventures, Courtney travels through life taking mental pictures of splendor. Having always been drawn to beauty in all forms, she marvels at its intricacies, and illustrates the perfection within the imperfect. The grandeurs of beauty in the world have always touched her soul and forever searching, capturing this magnificence became her life’s path.
Courtney Miller captures beauty both above and below the surface with a very contemporary and avant-garde style. She shoots for fashion and beauty publications as well as boutique style portraiture. Her experiences as an image-maker give her exceptional insight into the aesthetics of retouching and image post-production. Since beginning her professional photography career, her client list has grown to include: Spin Magazine, Honda, 311, and photographers Mark Seliger, Tracy Kahn, and Kelly Kerlin, where her jobs have ranged from professional make-up artist, photographers assistant, to production assistant.
In July 2009, Ms. Miller’s image was selected to appear on the cover of the internationally published ProPhotoWest Magazine. She also received special honors in the Professional Photographers of California (PPC) Photography contest, taking home the grand prize, 1st place, 2nd place, and 4th place.
As a result of her love for the Lord, her father’s instillation of an effective work ethic, her mothers free spirit and persistence in believing in her dreams, she revels in God’s sovereignty and every aspect of the beauty around her.
